We're envisioning a future rooted in a total circular economy—leading the charge with the world’s first artificial Christmas trees made from PVC-free materials and pioneering a post-consumer recycling solution for our products.
On the holiday décor side, we’re dedicated to manufacturing Polygroup trees more sustainably, while preserving the premium craftsmanship and lifelike appearance that millions have cherished for over three decades.
In the coming years, we aim to make our trees 100% PVC-free by sourcing PET from recycled water bottles, helping to repurpose tons of potential waste and create a more sustainable Christmas for everyone.
Polygroup’s Commitment to Sustainability
This extends to our packaging, with our cardboard boxes made from recycled materials, significantly cutting down waste. Additionally, we have eliminated plastic tape from our packaging for all Funsicle inflatables and above ground pool products, with plans to extend this initiative to our Christmas trees. By choosing eco-friendlier packaging, we’re reducing our environmental footprint and supporting a more sustainable future, one tree and box at a time.
Produced with Purpose through Solar-Powered Facilities
At Polygroup, we believe our energy sources should be as clean and purposeful as our vision. That's why, we've installed over 600,000 square feet (57,000 sqm) of solar panels on our factory premises, which generate approximately 12 million kilowatt-hours (KWH) of clean and renewable energy each year, used to assemble our products. That’s over 10 football fields worth of solar panels, enough to power 1,100 households in the USA for a year!
We have invested in sustainable production, not only on the operational side, but also on the product development side. For example, our Polygroup trees feature LED lights, which save up to 80% in energy use and last longer than traditional lights. Additionally, we’ve introduced a timer function for both our Christmas trees and filtration systems to reduce electricity consumption and minimize energy waste.

Recycling Standards Redefined through Post-Consumer Solutions
As an industry disruptor, Polygroup is envisioning the first consumer post-recycling solution for all our artificial Christmas trees, setting the stage for groundbreaking product innovation and global sustainability while aiming to reduce our carbon footprint.
In 2023, we also launched our ‘Float on Purpose’ recycling initiative in North America for Funsicle, our outdoor recreation brand.
Best-in-Class Certifications and Awards
Our sustainable trees are made with recycled PET materials, sourced exclusively from Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified suppliers.
We are proud to announce that Polygroup’s GRS certification is currently underway, with an expected completion date in early 2025.
